A small studio with one rule.

Gloopex opened in 2012 on the upper floor of a Marylebone townhouse. Anna Verheijden had spent eight years in some of the West End's busier salons and kept hearing the same quiet complaint from regulars — the appointment was rushed, the practitioner was distracted, the time felt borrowed.

The studio is the answer she'd been making notes about for years. Six rooms, six senior practitioners, single-chair-per-room, reservation-only. Each room is leased to a practitioner who controls their own service menu, schedule and product cabinet. We share a front door and a sterilisation policy, and not much else.

What we don't do

We don't take walk-ins (except cancellations). We don't run loyalty cards or commission targets. We don't carry retail products on display in the treatment rooms. We don't share guest data between practitioners — your card with Helena is hers alone.

What we always do

• Open the sealed sterilisation pouch in front of you at every appointment.
• Send a written aftercare card by the end of the day, listing exactly what was used.
• Honour a 14-day touch-up promise on bridal makeup and a two-week guarantee on gel polish.
• Patch test 48 hours ahead of any new colour, peel or tint.
• Hold a small number of slots back each week for first-time guests.
