Why visit Gloopex

A studio that treats time like a treatment ingredient.

Walk-ins, parallel bookings and constant retail nudges have become normal in London beauty. We've quietly opted out. Each guest gets a reception slot, a private treatment room, and the practitioner's full attention until you decide the visit is finished.

  • Senior-only practitioners — no juniors, no rotations between guests.
  • Cruelty-free, EU-compliant product cabinet, refreshed every quarter.
  • Walk-out aftercare card with the exact products used on you.
  • Discreet ground-floor entrance, lift-accessible from Marylebone Lane.

Hot-towel and traditional cut-throat shaves, plus skin grooming for men returning to oily-skin protocols after their thirties.

Words from our guests

What people say after their visit

★★★★★

"Anna spent more time looking at my hair before she touched it than my last salon spent doing the whole appointment. The cut held its shape for nine weeks."

"My nails have always peeled after gel. After three IBX sessions with Claire they're actually intact. The aftercare card is genuinely useful."

★★★★★

"Helena talked me out of a treatment I'd booked because she didn't think my skin needed it that week. That kind of honesty is why I keep coming back."

★★★★★

"Quiet appointment, no music to argue with, no one trying to sell me a bottle on the way out. Marcus just gave me an excellent shave."

"Booked a 'planning' visit before our wedding and ended up trialling three looks across an hour. Day-of makeup didn't move through tears or champagne."

"I came in for a recovery massage and was greeted with tea and a quiet room. Pressure judged perfectly. I left walking taller, not just looser."

Before you book

Common questions, honestly answered

How are appointments structured here?
Each booking reserves the room until you leave. There's a 15-minute reception slot for tea, a consultation, then your treatment. We hold a buffer either side so you're never overlapping with another guest.
Do you take walk-ins?
Only when a same-day cancellation opens up — we'll post those on Instagram at 09:00. Otherwise, the studio is reservation-only because we keep one room per practitioner.
What's your sterilisation protocol?
All metal nail and skincare tools go through a Class B autoclave between every guest. You'll see the sealed sterilisation pouch opened in front of you at the start of your appointment.
Can I patch test before a colour or facial?
Yes — for chemical peels, brow tints and high-lift colour we require a 48-hour patch test. Drop in any time during opening hours and we'll do it on the spot.
Is the studio step-free?
Yes. The Marylebone High Street entrance is one shallow step; a lift entrance from Marylebone Lane reaches the treatment floor without any steps. Please let us know in advance and we'll have the lift held for you.
What's your cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment. After that we ask for 50% of the booking fee, because we hold a single-room slot for you and rarely re-book it within the day.
Do you sell the products you use?
A small curated cabinet, but we never push it. Your aftercare card lists exactly what was used and you're welcome to source those products anywhere you like.

The nearest opening is usually next week.

We hold a small number of slots back for first-time guests each week. Send a note and we'll suggest a practitioner and time.
