These terms are the agreement between you, our guest, and Gloopex Beauty Studio Ltd., the company that runs this studio (Companies House No. 14528391). They sit alongside the practitioner-led nature of our rooms — each practitioner is licensed to deliver their treatments and carries individual professional indemnity.
1. Booking and confirmation
An appointment is reserved when both parties have confirmed by email. We hold the room for the full duration of your booked service, plus the buffer either side. Until that confirmation has been issued, the slot remains open.
2. Booking deposit
Bookings of two hours or more — bridal trials, colour corrections, full-service grooming — require a 30% deposit, paid by card link, to hold the room. This deposit is fully redeemable against your final invoice on the day.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
- Free cancellation or rescheduling more than 24 hours before your appointment.
- Within 24 hours, the deposit (or 50% of the room fee, where no deposit was taken) is retained.
- For no-shows, the full booking fee is retained.
- If we have to cancel for any reason, you receive a full refund and a reservation in the next available slot.
4. Patch testing
Patch testing is required at least 48 hours before any first chemical peel, lift colour, brow tint or new product application. Without a valid patch test on file we will reschedule rather than proceed — the room time is not lost, but the treatment is.
5. Aftercare and our promises
We honour two specific promises:
- Two-week gel guarantee — if a fresh gel polish lifts within fourteen days of your appointment, we re-do that nail at no charge.
- 14-day bridal touch-up — if your day-of bridal makeup needs adjusting for retake photographs within fourteen days, we re-create the look at no charge.
Both promises require the original guest to attend during opening hours and to have followed the aftercare card.
6. Health and safety
Please tell your practitioner about pregnancy, recent surgical procedures, isotretinoin use within the past six months, allergies, or any active skin condition. Some treatments are reorganised or postponed for safety reasons — your practitioner will explain in the room.
7. Liability
Each practitioner is professionally insured and works to the standards of their relevant UK trade association. Gloopex Beauty Studio Ltd. cannot accept liability for adverse reactions where a patch test was not completed on time, where pre-existing conditions were not disclosed, or where aftercare instructions were not followed.
8. Children and minors
Guests under the age of sixteen require a parent or guardian present during the appointment for hair and nail services. We do not perform chemical peels, cut-throat shaves or colour services on guests under sixteen.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
